On Friday, September 8, 2017, the Optimist Club of Green Bay will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary at Rock Garden Supper Club, 1951 Bond St, Green Bay.  The event is open to the public, and any past Club members, community event and program partners, including those public officials and community members who have supported the Club’s “Friend of Youth” services, are invited.

The Optimist Club of Green Bay was chartered on November 19, 1947 and has provided and been involved with many, many community events and programs, including school “Just Say No to Drugs” programs, Boys Little League, Girls Softball League, “Respect for Law” events, and Oratorical and Essay Contests, as well as many other programs and activities for youth.  Several other Optimist Clubs trace their roots back to the Optimist Club of Green Bay.  Optimist clubs in the United States and several other countries conduct service projects which reach millions of young people each year.
